Y1/2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Hartlepool
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work in a primary school in the Hartlepool area.
This is a long-term supply contract Teaching Assistant role, working with Y1/2 children.
This role will commence from Jan 2025 following the half term until July 2025, the individual would be working in a mixed Y1/2 class and could lead to a long-term permanent position.
Salary: Dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 2 in Teaching and Supporting Learning, with experience in a KS1 classroom preferred.
The Role:
Working as part of a passionate teaching team, the desired teaching assistant will focus on providing a high standard of support to both the children in the class and the class teacher. The successful teaching assistant will be expected to work on their own initiative to help identify children who may require extra support and be flexible to changing environments.
This is a full-time position working in a mixed Y1-2 class from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm, 5 days per week.

This large primary school is looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. The Head Teacher and leadership team are dedicated to providing an outstanding level of education to the children within the school. The school is friendly and welcoming and has a positive ethos.
Requirements:
1. Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools.
2. Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
3. Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
4. Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
5. Have experience supporting children in primary education in KS1.
