Workshop Recruitment is looking for an experienced supervisor in the catering equipment or commercial gas sector in the Cheltenham area. Our client is a leading commercial catering equipment and Portable Kitchen supplier to both public and private sector clients across the globe. The Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Refurbishment Department Supervisor to join our client’s dynamic team. This role will report directly to the Construction Project Manager and play a crucial part in overseeing the preparation and delivery of large-scale modular kitchen installations.
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday 0830 – 1700. The salary for this role is £38,000 to £40,000 per annum with call out and overtime available. OTE is approximately £46,000 - £48,000 p/a – OTE is made up of Overtime and an On-Call Rota of 1 in every 4 weekends.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Supervision: Manage and supervise an in-house team of tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
* Project Oversight: Assist in the planning and execution of modular kitchen installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets our quality standards and complies with industry regulations.
* Coordination: Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any on-site issues or challenges, providing practical solutions to keep projects on track.
* Health & Safety: Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Resource Management: Assist in the allocation of resources, including materials and equipment, to optimize project outcomes.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Construction Project Manager on project progress, team performance, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience managing construction trades, with a strong background in carpentry preferred.
* Good knowledge of all construction trades, including electrics and plumbing.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment.
Preferred:
* Experience in modular construction or kitchen installations.
* Familiarity with catering equipment and infrastructure solutions.
