As a Workshop Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping equipment in peak operating condition, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the overall success of the service team. Salary: £31,000- £37,000 per annum Benefits: Insurance and pension plansKey Responsibilities Troubleshooting & Repair: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues reported by customers Engineering Duties: Carry out general engineering tasks, including working at height Servicing & Maintenance: Perform servicing and maintenance within the workshop Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues Documentation: Complete job cards, timesheets, and relevant paperwork promptly and accurately Parts Management: Request necessary parts in an efficient manner and maintain accurate records Customer Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers Team Supervision: Supervise other workshop engineers as needed to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety procedures Absence Cover: Provide support for the Workshop Foreman during periods of absence or annual leave Machine Preparation: Assist in booking in and out and prepare them for transport collections Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards. Adhere to health and safety policies Tool Safety: Ensure that personal and work tools are maintained safely and legally Workshop Organisation: Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment Professionalism: Present a professional image at all times when interacting with colleagues and customers Flexibility: Remain flexible and adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as required Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements Experience: At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar engineering or workshop role Technical Skills: Proficient in repairs and maintenance Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards and regulations Tools: Ability to use company-provided tools and equipment safely and effectively Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with customers and team members Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the work, including paperwork, repairs, and inspections IT Skills: Competence in using basic IT systems for job cards and paperwork managementHow to Apply If you're a skilled engineer looking for a new challenge and a chance to make an impact in a growing team, we want to hear from you Please apply now by submitting your CV and a cover letter detailing your experience and why you’d be a great fit for this role.
