We are seeking an industrious Accounts Assistant to bolster our Accounting & Finance department within our Industrial/Manufacturing sector in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payments, and providing general accounting support. Description The Accounts Assistant will; Maintaining and updating financial records. Processing invoices, expense forms and requests for payment. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes. Supporting the finance department with various tasks, including direct debit payments and credit control. Performing administrative tasks to support the finance department. Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports. Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies. Reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. Profile A successful Accounts Assistant should have: An educational background in finance, accounting or relevant field. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and accounting software. Strong numeracy and organisational skills. An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. The ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and team-working skills.
