REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
HOURS: Monday- Friday 4pm- 12pm
OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
To lead and supervise production teams across various plant locations, ensuring safe and efficient operations, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards. This includes overseeing all aspects of production activities, from scheduling and resource management to troubleshooting and implementing best practices in operational excellence. The goal is to optimise productivity, minimise downtime, and uphold strict safety protocols to achieve operational excellence across multiple production facilities.

About the role
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead, motivate, and support production teams in all operational aspects.
* Adhere to quality control standards, ensuring production output meets quality criteria and maintaining records as required.
* Liaise with site Quality Technicians for quality assurance.
* Respond quickly to operational conditions, troubleshooting issues to optimise efficiency.
* Utilise Lean Management tools to drive continuous improvement in productivity while managing production costs.
* Support maintenance tasks, coordinating machine downtime and repairs in collaboration with Production Supervisors.
* Monitor and manage stock levels of materials for production and repairs to support continuous operations.
* Ensure adherence to production schedules, escalating issues promptly to Supply Chain Planning Managers and Production Supervisors.
* Record daily production figures accurately.
* Promote and enforce HSEQ procedures, safe systems of work, and legislative requirements.
* Take corrective action on any safety concerns and ensure PPE compliance.
* Establish and maintain safe working areas, overseeing best practices for housekeeping and tidiness.
* Undertake spot checks and corrective actions related to HSEQ standards.
* Monitor employee performance, including attendance, timekeeping, and holiday management.
* Act on employee concerns and suggestions to enhance team performance and well-being.
* Liaise effectively with Production Supervisors and Managers to optimise production processes and facility operations.
* Act as an advocate for AG’s culture and values by demonstrating integrity, sustainability, customer care, wellbeing, and innovation in all aspects of your work and interactions with colleagues.
* Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies at all times, wearing the correct PPE while working in the plant and yard, and taking responsibility for personal safety and that of colleagues.
* Any other duties commensurate with the role and within capabilities.

Required Criteria
* Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job.
* At least 3 years operational experience in a similar role preferably within an automated, manufacturing environment.
* Computer literate.
* Works well on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to work required.
Desired Criteria
* Experience of working in a maintenance capacity in a production environment.
* Knowledge of planned maintenance systems.
* At least 1 year’s previous forklift, shovel driving experience preferably within a busy manufacturing environment.
