Job responsibilities
Antenatal and Newborn screening programmes aim to detect conditions that are present in either the mother or baby that might have an adverse effect on the health of either. Optimal screening programmes require effective team working across a number of professional groups, departments and organisations. Trust programmes are benchmarked against national and locally agreed standards; and audit and performance monitoring is seen as essential to assure the safety and effectiveness of the service.
