Job summary
We are looking for a new team member to join our Contracting Team in Procurement. In this role you will be responsible for managing and processing IT software and equipment requests, including specialist equipment to support reasonable workplace adjustments, as well as streamlining processes and standardising equipment. You will also be responsible for managing circa 200 IT contracts, ensuring these are renewed as required, contributing to the teams savings targets and compliance with Trust policies and processes.
Procurement experience is not essential for this part time 25 hour per week hybrid role, which is predominantly homebased with some onsite working required. If you are organised, proactive, passionate about achieving value for money and customer orientated, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be predominantly responsible for managing and processing orders for IT equipment or software as well as managing a portfolio of contracts. This will involve carrying out quotation requests and ensuring products and services are delivered on time, in compliance with contract KPIs and best value for money is achieved.
In this role you will manage two shared email accounts, ensuring emails are responded in a timely and effective way, as well as managing online order requests through Trust IT systems, raising Purchase Orders and maintaining the contracts database. You will also have the opportunity to experience some more complex procurements through the provision of administrative support to other team members.
The post holder will need to develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders and will influence end users to help standardise and rationalise products and services.
We are a friendly, supportive team and we work closely together. Full role training will be provided and we welcome applications from those new to procurement or looking to make a career change. This role arisen due to an internal promotion.
This role is predominantly homebased with hotdesking facilities available at County Hall, Taunton. On some occasions there may also be the requirement to travel to any of the Trust's sites across Somerset.
