Are you interested in being part of the West Caithness Integrated Health and Social Care Team, as a Community Staff Nurse? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to join our team, providing care and support to patients in their own homes across West Caithness. This post is based in Thurso; however, you would be expected to travel substantially across West Caithness, as required, in order to meet service needs. In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, we provide a supportive working environment and access to further training and development opportunities.
This is a part-time permanent post of 29.6 hours per week, covering across a 7-day rota (Monday-Sunday) in accordance with service requirements.
You will be registered with the NMC and work within the code of conduct at all times.
A driving licence is essential, and a pool car may be available; however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
