Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the RDQ activities required to complete new product development and maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

1. Food science, science, or engineering background, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market
2. Working on teams and independently with the guidance of a manager
3. Prioritizing and managing activities

5. Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions
6. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing
7. Putting the consumer at the heart of development activities

What you need to know about this position:
8. This role will lead projects in Central Chocolate Productivity from idea scoping through to deployment stage, working closely with central and regional teams, providing technical support when needed to ensure success.

9. Proactiveness in ingredient research and technical solutions to generate breakthrough technology, margin management ideas.
10. Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity.
11. Good understanding of the functional characteristics of ingredients, processing capabilities and how they impact the finished product to meet consumer and business expectations
12. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to commercialization.
Education / Certifications:
13. BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
14. Significant experience, preferably in Product Development within Food Industry.
Job specific requirements:
15. Working with internal and external experts to identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies that support margin enhancement, manufacturing flexibility and growth.
16. Effectively influencing senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders verbally and in writing, including writing technical report conclusions.
17. Collaboration with cross functional teams (supply chain, engineering, procurement, marketing) to identify and resolve technical issues.
18. Experience in Chocolate Confectionery is a strong advantage.
19. Strong knowledge of the I2M process is an advantage.
