The incumbent in this role will have full responsibility for the profit and health & safety of the Heidelberg Materials Recycling hubs located within a defined territory area. He/she will manage and lead a designated team of commercial, operational & logistical staff.

Key accountabilities
* Lead and manage the geographic commercial and operational team
* Achieve targets for incoming material, sales volumes, selling price, costs and RCO
* Achieve the highest possible standards in Health & Safety
* Develop and maintain excellent local knowledge of the market and competitor activity
* Manage the customer portfolio and mix
* Manage operating costs ensuring optimum efficiency by maximising material recycling percentage and minimizing material (waste) sent to landfill.
* Drive product and service quality excellence
* Achieve Heidelberg Materials UK KPI expectations
* Generate and submit required reporting to the business timetable
* Close collaboration with other Business Lines including: maximise use of recycled aggregates within our value-added businesses, including RAP (and associated sourcing), sharing of site operational resources and logistics (where appropriate).

The role holder is expected:

* To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required.

Education/Qualification
* Experience in aggregates, muckaway, utilities or waste sectors preferable.
