We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will oversee the entire food preparation and cooking process, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Your culinary expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent food service will contribute to our establishment's success.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee food storage, preparation, cooking, and service procedures, including labeling, temperature checks, and allergy management during your shift.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
* Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
* Follow catering risk assessments to identify and address hazards in the kitchen environment.
* Prepare documentation for internal and external audits/inspections, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Implement and follow cleaning schedules, promoting a clean and organized work environment.
* Follow all food allergen policies and procedures to minimize cross-contamination and meet customer dietary needs.
* Complete all relevant food safety documentation accurately, such as The Kitchen Diary.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Chef or similar culinary role.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP.
* Understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
* Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
* Organizational and leadership skills to supervise and train staff.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Creative mindset for developing new dishes and menus.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
