The Interim Communications Officer will support the development and delivery of the council's communication strategy. Client Details My client is a local council looking to add an Interim Communications Officer to the team. Description The successful Interim Communications Officer will have the following responsibilities: Support the development and delivery of key organisational messages and campaigns for external and internal audiences, embedding digital communications in everything we do Ensure the use of the council's corporate identity and ensure correct use by all council staff and partners Offer support to all services in the council to ensure excellent standards for all campaigns and communications Take complex messages and translate them into readable and engaging copy and ensure consistency and accuracy of messages Make best use of digital communication including social media to engage residents, promote stories and raise the profile of the council.Profile The successful Interim Communications Officer will have: Demonstrable experience in a similar communications role - you will be a true communications all-rounder Experience within local government - ideally working with councils - essential Excellent communication skills The ability to hit the ground runningJob Offer Short term contract - £18.14 per hour Essex based - twice a week in the office
