About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a large highly motivated Cleaning Operatives to ensure we deliver a high standard cleaning service to our Queen Mary’s buildings.
We currently have 20hr and 30hr per week positions at our Mile End campus (Monday to Friday 5am-9am or 9am-3pm).
About You
1. You should be passionate about delivering a first-class cleaning service to Queen Mary.
2. Hold a Vocational qualification in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent relevant cleaning experience.
3. You should have previous experience of leading a cleaning team.
4. You should be able to plan and organise the daily duties of the service teams, producing and monitoring rota’s ensuring a fair and effective distribution of work and to make adjustments, as and when required, in line with operational needs.
5. To monitor the performance of staff and contribute to annual appraisals.
6. To ensure the reporting and recording of staff absence in accordance with Queen Mary Absence Management policies, carrying out return to work meetings as required.
7. To ensure all staff are adequately trained to carry out cleaning and waste removal tasks to an acceptable level.
