Western Sydney University’s School of Education is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking educator to join them as a Lecturer, High Achieving Teachers (HAT) Program. About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our High Achieving Teachers (HAT) Program as a Lecturer.
The Lecturer will coordinate and teach initial teacher education subjects, develop personalised learning pathways for students, and collaborate with colleagues and external partners. They will also engage in impactful research and support students' success in the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE).
A key focus of this role is delivering high-quality teaching, research, and scholarly activities aligned with the HAT program. Depending on the successful applicant's background, this may include teaching in either Primary or Secondary Initial Teacher Education programs at the Master’s level. The Lecturer will also foster strong collaborations across the School, the broader University, and the education sector to support the program’s success.
This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term Position until 31 January 2027. The position will be based at Western’s Penrith (Kingswood) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please see the Position Description for further information.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking educator with:
* A Higher Degree (PhD or EdD) in Education.
* Proven experience in quality and innovative teaching, curriculum development and teaching within primary or secondary education.
* A demonstrated ability to progress research initiatives through high-quality publications.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $139,458 to $164,559 p.a. (comprising Salary of $117,844 to $139,151 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
