Field Sales Account Manager - Construction Industry
Company Overview: Our client is a leading supplier of lifting machinery with a large customer base across the UK and Europe. Specialising in delivering high-quality construction and lifting solutions, they are a key player in the industry with a strong reputation for service excellence.
Role Summary: They seek a proactive and highly motivated Field Sales Account Manager to cover the South of England. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding the customer base, building relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Increase the customer base by making appointments and visiting potential clients within the construction sector.
Lead Follow-up: Actively follow up on sales leads and business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Sales Opportunity Management: Identify and manage new sales opportunities within the construction market.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated on trends and business opportunities in the construction industry.
Field Diary Management: Organise and manage a field-based diary, ensuring all customer visits are documented effectively.
Travel Requirements: As a field-based role, regular travel across the South of England will be required, including occasional overnight stays.
Weekly Depots Visit: Visit the Haddenham depots each week to discuss sales progress and opportunities.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Proven experience in field sales and business development, ideally within the construction sector.
Experience selling technical products related to construction, machinery, or equipment.
Strong planning and organisational skills to manage a busy schedule.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service focus.
Strong commercial awareness and results-driven approach.
A skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals effectively.
Full driving licence required.
