Description Finance Business Partner Programme Name: LCST Location: Emersons Green, Bristol Role Overview: Leidos Europe is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the UK team based in Bristol. Leidos works closely with its customers to provide ongoing support and services to multiple public sector organisations. This role is primarily concerned with Leidos Europe's largest contract, which supports the UK MoD's procurement, storage and distribution activities. The role offers the opportunity to work on cross functional teams; interfacing with Procurement, Programme Management, Scheduling, Material Cost Management, Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis. You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, determination, an ability to build productive relationships across diverse skillsets and ultimately will need to deliver on time and to a high quality in a fast paced dynamic environment. It is important that you have a team player mind-set, as sharing knowledge with existing members of the highly skilled Finance Team will be critical to success. Your Role and Responsibilities: - Lead the Finance Procurement team to deliver corporate and contractual reporting requirements - Act as the primary finance point of contact to the Procurement organisation; providing support and information through a team of four supporting Finance Analysts to enable timely and accurate decision making - Provide full planning cycle finance support to the Procurement organisation. - Represent the Finance Function at the Supplier Contract Approval Board (CAB) and influence its decision making in the interest of safeguarding financial performance - Lead the reporting of programme performance including progress to plan, and remaining effort including effects on orders, revenue, earnings & cash. - Lead the calculation of product cost savings from procurement and life cycle cost reduction activities - Manage the monthly and quarterly financial forecasting process for product items - Evaluate the potential impact of risks and opportunities and support operational teams to identify and implement mitigation plans to drive profitability. - Provide in-depth analysis and recommendations for the business, and support procurement strategy development - Drive consistency and standardisation across the wider Leidos Finance Team, ensuring compliance to Leidos standards and requirements - Support the development of, and continually upskill, the Procurement Finance Team - Support the development of performance metrics and management information for use by programme leadership team. - Actively support and respond to customer queries and audit requests concerning product items - Support external audit - Support Business Case and Business Development activities relating to new product business - Lead with CAM support for T2/T3 to CSS Director Accountability Statement: - Lead the LCST Commodities Finance Team - Ensure the accountabilities of the Commodities Finance Team are suitably defined, communicated and delivered to satisfy corporate and customer requirements - Provide Business Partner support to the Procurement organisation and to the wider business Commodities: - Accountable for the monthly Management Information (MI) Reporting Process, including MI template updates sent to the customer, updating and maintaining the mapping and logic of procurement transaction data into the executive financial database - Creation of the Product Savings forecast, updated on a quarterly basis. - Operating the Benefit Share process whereby savings are evidenced and a percentage of the saving is claimed from the customer - Providing Systems and Process knowledge to assist with any issues that may arise along with liaising with other systems Subject Matter Experts to ensure financial integrity - Maintaining the product basket of goods used to measure internal product cost inflation Services costs for CSS: - Accountable for the monthly Management Information (MI) Reporting Process, including MI template updates sent to the customer, updating and maintaining the mapping and logic of procurement transaction data into the executive financial database - Providing Systems and Process knowledge to assist with any issues that may arise along with liaising with other systems Subject Matter Experts to ensure financial integrity - Long range forecast of expenditure - Long Range Forecast of Expenditure (FE): - Accountable for the product financial Forecast of Expenditure for both Commodities and CSS - Creation of FE Executive Summary for presentation to internal and external stakeholders - Update VAT and Inflation assumptions and provide analysis for senior management - Track and update project savings that impact product cost Adhoc: - Other ad hoc tasks as required Required Technical and Professional Expertise: - Experience working within an operations-facing finance team, acting as a Business Partner to key Operational Managers & Executives - Business (Finance & Commercial) Acumen - Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills - Experience of owning, driving and delivering business results - IT proficient (particularly Excel, PowerPoint) - Background in Accounting, Finance, Project Accounting / Controlling or Economics, preferred.
