Job Summary:
• We are seeking a dedicated and organised Business Support Officer to join our Business Support Hub within the Adult Social Care team.
• This role is essential in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of business processes and supporting the service in a variety of administrative tasks.
• The successful candidate will provide high-quality support services, working closely with different teams and management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Minute Taking: Attend meetings and take detailed minutes, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive business support, including managing documents, assisting with correspondence, and ensuring processes run smoothly.
• Diary Management: Assist in planning and facilitating meetings, events, and appointments across the department.
• Support to Operational Teams: Offer administrative assistance to operational and business management teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Database Utilization: Learn and effectively use various databases to input, retrieve, and manage information.
• Customer Service: Ensure that all services provided meet a high standard of quality, leading to high customer satisfaction.
• Multitasking: Demonstrate the ability to handle a wide range of tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of the Business Support Team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure service needs are met.
• Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as required, which are in line with the level of responsibility for this post.
Skills/Experience:
• Minute-Taking: Proven experience in taking minutes at meetings and ensuring they are distributed promptly and accurately (essential).
• Business Support Experience: Previous experience in a Business Support Officer role, particularly in a public sector or adult social care setting, is preferred.
• IT Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and other IT applications.
• Flexible Approach: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adjusting workload as required.
• Database Skills: Capability to learn and efficiently use various databases for data entry and retrieval.
• Solution-Focused: Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving challenges.
• Customer-Cantered: Commitment to providing high-quality, effective, and efficient services within agreed timescales.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams, supporting the wider organisational goals.
Additional Information:
• Hybrid role - The successful candidate will work from the office 1-2 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the contract (subject to service requirements).
