Grafton Banks Finance are working with a well-respected commercial company with offices on the outskirts of Haywards Heath to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of finance and working within a small friendly team your job is to provide financial support with a variety of accounting tasks, cash flow and management accountant reporting. You will be proactive, flexible, and adaptable to change. You will be happy to work in a fast-paced environment and look forward to a challenge. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Reconciling customer accounts Banking and reconciliations Manage foreign currency accounts Intercompany loan accounts - reconciliation and postings Credit card and petty cash reconciliation, allocation, and postings Checking and processing journals weekly and monthly payment runs. Processing and maintenance accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register. Assisting with VAT returns ensuring all processes are up to date and correctly documented month end management account preparation and first level review Supporting with the year-end file preparation The successful candidate will have at least 2 years practical working experience within Accountancy and Finance. You will have strong IT skills including Excel and Accounting Software alongside strong communication skills and analytical skills to be able to manipulate data. You will need to be a strong team player as well as working on own accord with excellent organisational skills and time management. On the job training is available.
