Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Planner to join our client for a water treatment project based in Birmingham. This is a contract role for 12-18 months, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
3. Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.
4. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the project team and clients.
5. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. Utilise project management software and tools to track and report on project status.
8. Primarily a site-based role, requiring regular presence at the project location.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Planner in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) or Civils projects.
2. Previous experience in water treatment projects is beneficial but not essential.
3. Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
4. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
