Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our Water Utilities team to support our expanding workload within the water industry. Our team consults, delivers, and manages projects in the water industry. We support a flexible base location with opportunities for home working, office working, or a mixture of both.
The Project Manager will be accountable for the planning and execution of our projects to the defined scope, cost, and programme to meet our Client's requirements. They will also engage with clients and implement resource management strategy to drive successful framework delivery.
Responsibilities:
1. Plans, executes, monitors, and controls projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management for projects varying in revenue.
2. Effectively controls and manages project change.
3. Delivers projects to the As-Sold financial metrics or better.
4. Contract management under a variety of framework and standalone contracts.
5. Understands client performance requirements and develops strategy to deliver value to all parties.
6. Assesses the technical and commercial risk of projects during the sales process.
7. Creates and reviews proposals and costings for new projects.
8. Implements resource management strategy for professionals across multiple projects/programmes.
9. Ensures compliance with quality management systems and drives innovation and efficiencies into project delivery.
10. Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to others in the coordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary appraisals and designs.
11. Organises and chairs professional client meetings.
12. Coaches and mentors professionals including performance management, career planning, and learning and development.
Attributes:
The role is suitable for an individual with a proven track record in Project Management and a desire to continue to develop their career in this direction. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and knowledge:
1. Professional qualification in Project Management and/or an engineering discipline.
2. Proven ability to plan, execute, monitor, and control projects.
3. Leadership skills to manage project teams and create positive change.
4. Motivated to manage projects in the water sector.
5. Experience in a project management role on consultancy projects.
6. Understanding of consultancy commercial models for both project delivery and tender development.
7. Knowledge of programme management using Microsoft Project or other suitable software.
8. Ability to balance multiple priorities.
9. Proactive approach to problem solving as an individual and as part of a team with a desire to find a solution.
10. Demonstrated customer-facing success in project management and effective client relationship management.
11. Collaborative individual that effectively builds teams.
12. Liaison with internal and external clients to develop relationships across the business.
13. Excellent communicator with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
14. Demonstrable experience of working in water or a transferable sector.
