We are recruiting a Property Maintenance Operative to join us on a permanent basis. Within this role, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks and minor planned / responsive repair works.

Responsibilities
1. Conduct routine maintenance tasks and minor planned and responsive repair works in both tenanted and empty homes.
2. Use a broad range of fundamental trade skills including Joinery, plastering, plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, floor coverings, ground works, brickwork including small flagging works, and any general maintenance to a high standard.
3. Assess work required and make recommendations on action to be taken in accordance with Incommunities specifications.
4. Be part of a multi-skilled team of operatives working at a high level of performance to meet tight deadlines.
5. Communicate the work undertaken with the customer, using empathy and patience to ensure they are satisfied and understand the process that needs to be taken.
6. Abide by the requirements of HASAWA and all other related safety regulations.
7. Update system information using Dynamic Repairs Scheduler.
8. Originate, maintain and provide updated work documentation as required.
9. Drive to and from premises around the Bradford district.
About you

4. Have basic IT skills to be able to update our systems via a smart phone or tablet.

Minimum Requirements
1. A full current driving license is essential.
2. Relevant, good basic knowledge of property maintenance across a variety of trades.
3. As a minimum an NVQ Level 2 diploma.
4. An awareness of Health and Safety systems such as COSHH and HASAWA.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills including being able to listen to customer problems, empathise and be clear on what process we will undertake to fix the problem.
6. Delivery of a first-class repair service by carrying out your specialist trade duties either as an individual working on their own initiative or undertaking these activities and duties as a member of a specialist team.
