This is an exciting role where you will be able to use your knowledge and experience to train the next generation of locksmiths. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled locksmith with a desire to deliver a comprehensive and highly impactful training programme that covers multiple aspects of locksmithing.
Based on-site at Central Building & Welding Academy you will be working with small groups of adult learners to develop their locksmithing skills whilst supporting them with their long-term career goals. This could be either a fulltime role or part time to work around your other commitments if needed. Our Tutors ensure that the appropriate training plans are in place and that advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of training and engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential.
In this role you will be given the autonomy to develop the locksmith’s academy and work with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the CBWA training programmes are amongst the best in the industry.
What we are looking for
* An experienced locksmith with at least three years’ experience in the industry.
* Teaching & assessing experience desireable but not essential
* Ability to work closely with key stakeholders
* A desire to take ownership and drive quality
If you don’t currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we are able to support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments, as part of your probationary period.
Who are we?
CBWA are a privately owned construction and welding training academy. We offer accredited training course at Levels 1, 2, 3 and we also offer intensive five day and weekend non-accredited intensive courses. Our delivery is designed to enable learners to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment or become self- employed.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish starting points through early diagnostic activities and identify individual needs of learners.
* Continually review learners’ progression to ensure that the training meets their individual needs.
* Prepare and develop lesson planning documentation that aligns with the needs of the group.
* Actively seek feedback from learners, colleagues and other stakeholders to make improvements to the curriculum.
* Work closely with leadership and internal quality assurers to provide a standardised assessment process that is driven by quality.
* Actively engage and motivate learners to ensure high levels of retention and achievement are achieved
* Provide a comprehensive programme of delivery to ensure KPI’s are achieved.
