Full Job Description
A new opportunity within the business due to continued demand from our customers has led us to advertise for a transport planner to join our growing team.
Ideally, you will have experience working within a general haulage environment.
Hours will be Monday – Friday – 45 hours to be negotiated with the occasional holiday cover when needed.
Your Responsibilities:
* Effective planning of drivers and vehicles ensuring both delivery and collection times are met.
* Assembling groupage loads and ensuring vehicles are at capacity.
* Achieving customer and network service levels by monitoring routes and dealing with delays.
* Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of freight.
* Control and update of related documents and data input to meet customer demands and requirements of the main data system.
Your Experience:
* Daily planning of drivers and vehicles.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Working to Health & Safety criteria.

* Church: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Education:
* A-Level or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
* General Haulage or Pallet Network: 2 years (preferred).
* Transport Planning: 2 years (required).
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (preferred).
