Hospital at Home Eating Disorders is an exciting service developed in collaboration with the Thames Valley Provider Collaborative. The Hospital at Home team supports young people with eating disorders who meet the threshold for inpatient care. In some cases, admission will be prevented and in others, young people will be stepped down to this model following a short inpatient admission. Hospital at Home maximizes the use of new technology, provides care close to home, reduces admission, length of stay, waiting times and provides earlier discharge from inpatient care. This is a work from home position.
Main duties of the job
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* To be responsible for the co-ordination and management of the clinical team in providing a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for young people and their families.
* In conjunction with service manager, senior modern matron / modern matron and other clinical leads, the post holder is expected to contribute to the development of the eating disorder service provision across the Trust.
* To take the lead in ensuring effective joint working with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure responsive and appropriate service delivery to users and carers.
* Provide professional links with educational agencies such as UWE and Oxford Brookes.
* To carry out a mentoring role and training/teaching sessions when required.
* To have an ability to work with assessed needs embracing the wishes of young people with eating disorders.
