Position: Maths Teacher (SEMH Provision) Location: Newcastle Pay Rate: Competitive salary (depending on experience) About the Role: As a Maths Teacher in an SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education while providing the support and understanding that students with additional needs require. The SEMH provision is based within a mainstream school, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with both the specialist team and the wider school community. Working in a nurturing environment, you will deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons that help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH needs Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Implement strategies to support students' emotional regulation and engagement Work closely with other staff members and external agencies to develop individualized learning plans Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support their academic and personal growth Contribute to the wider school community by promoting positive behavior and fostering resilience What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Mathematics Experience working with students with SEMH needs or a strong commitment to inclusive education An empathetic and adaptable approach to supporting students facing social and emotional challenges Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners What’s in it for You?
