Are you a self-starter with a knack for numbers and a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our clients dynamic team. This role is essential to their business, supporting the finance function and working closely with the Head of Finance. If you enjoy working independently while being part of a collaborative team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and post to the ledger (daily)
* Handle supplier payments and statement reconciliations (daily/monthly)
* Obtain authorization and enter overhead and expense invoices (daily)
* Maintain accounts payable ledger and resolve queries (daily)
* Process expenses, mileage claims, and payments as required
* Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations (monthly)
* Perform customer account credit checks and set credit limits as needed
* Assist with sales invoicing, debt chasing, and month-end tasks, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
* Prepare daily KPI and month-end reports, including balance sheet reconciliations
* Potential involvement in payroll management in the future
* Support the team with additional duties as necessary
Who We’re Looking For:
* Essential: AAT qualification or equivalent work experience, with strong IT skills (including intermediate Excel)
* Ideal: Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills. High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated individuals with strong initiative and a team-oriented mindset.
The salary for this position is £28,000p/a - £30,000p/a this is a full time permanent job.
