Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies (RS) Teacher to join this team starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality RS lessons that inspire and engage students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. You will play a crucial role in promoting understanding and respect for different religious beliefs and practices, encouraging critical thinking and ethical reasoning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative RS lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
* Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, contributing to the broader school community.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in RE education and incorporate relevant changes into teaching practices.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education or a related field.
* Experience teaching RS at secondary school level.
* Strong knowledge of different religious traditions and ethical frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
