Job Summary
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for the residents and staff. Main Duties of the Job
As a Head of Maintenance, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Job Responsibilities
About the Role
As a Head of Maintenance, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. You'll handle a variety of tasks within the care home and in the gardens and grounds, from fixing leaks to planting. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with budget planning. Liaising with contractors on jobs outside your team's expertise is also required.
About You
The wellbeing of our residents will be your number one priority. You'll ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. With hands-on experience in property maintenance, you'll have at least one trade skill and ideally a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. Reliability and flexibility in working hours are essential. This role requires a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
* Hands-on experience in property maintenance, with at least one trade skill, a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks, GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent), a full UK driving licence, and IT literacy.
