About the role
If you’re an ambitious Public Health leader, Brighton & Hove presents an incredibly rich and diverse professional canvas.
The Director of Public Health, as a statutory Officer, will join CLT for discussions you need to be part of and receive all CLT agendas and papers. You will:
* play a visible and influential role in setting the tone and culture of the organisation
* advise at the most senior level
* ensure resources and effort are aligned to the delivery of the Council Plan
* ensure we demonstrate our values and behaviours in all we do
Key priorities include:
* the impact of drugs and alcohol
* issues related to mental health
* sexual health services
* general health inequality
Your skills and experience:
We’re looking for someone who is an expert in their field, and who can offer assured professional advice to colleagues and stakeholders and ensure the ongoing professional development of our team.
A creative thinker, you’ll be keen to explore new approaches to improve Public Health, recognising the practical challenges of delivery with finite resources, and welcoming the opportunity to work in collaboration with others to achieve maximum impact.
