Job Description:
As an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Design Engineer, you will work with multiple design disciplines, network engineering teams, technical deployment engineering and management, and operations teams to bridge gaps, and support design and deployment of ICT infrastructure in Amazon Physical Stores. Amazon Physical Stores are the first grocery stores to offer Just Walk Out (JWO) Technology, which allows customers to shop without waiting in line.
This position requires strong working knowledge in a wide variety of building types and systems (both design and installation). You must be capable of making creative design recommendations and articulating design justification to different groups within the organization. You will work directly with engineers and managers across the globe to develop connectivity solutions for the physical layer, including space, pathway, power, cooling, wireless, and cabling design specifications.

You must be a self-starter, creative, and a critical thinker with an intense curiosity and drive for learning. This position requires you to manage stakeholder expectations, schedules, budgets, assets, and scopes—because organization and attention to detail are in your DNA.
Key Responsibilities:

4. Attend design meetings, and review, comment and approve ICT design drawings and specifications.
5. Write technical documents with analytical cost data and present to executive leadership.
6. Review, approve, and stamp ICT product data submittals.
7. Manage ICT design consultants and Low Voltage Contractors (LVC) for on-time, high-quality deliverables.
8. Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
9. Support new technology development and design activities that improve infrastructure quality.
10. Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors.
