We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic speech and language therapist, to join our team based in Bracknell on an FTC un till 31/03/2025.
In this role you will be working with a mixed caseload from both mainstream and special schools where you will be supporting children, young people and their families from a wide variety of backgrounds.
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of the diverse needs of children and young people, and understanding of the value of integrated services is essential. You will be act as an ambassador for our service and be calm and confident, dealing with challenging situations. You will collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team communicating with various parties to ensure that we deliver a seamless service.
As a service we are big on “grow your own” and there ill be opportunities for both internal and external training.
We operate Monday to Friday 9 – 5 and are open to both full and part time applications.
Main duties of the job
1. Take responsibility for a dedicated caseload and clinical role.
2. Carry out clinical assessments within your level of clinical knowledge and skill.
3. Identify relevant therapy needs from which you can develop and deliver an individualised management plan, with support from a senior therapist as needed.
4. Contribute to and deliver training to school settings, parents, CYP and staff, as part of therapy support and delivery.
5. Contribute to the implementation and development of the impact-based model of clinical decision making.
6. Work collaboratively with education, local authority, medical and nursing staff to ensure delivery of a coordinated integrated service along with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues.
7. Opportunity to develop leadership and management skills, overseeing junior staff and students.

24. Car driver with a valid UK licence and the ability to travel across multiple sites

Previous Experience
Essential criteria
34. Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
35. Experience of working with families from a wide variety of backgrounds including age and ethnicity
36. Experience of evaluating and managing a range of developmental speech, language and communication conditions
37. Able to demonstrate a clinical knowledge and familiarisation with a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools relevant to speech and language therapy interventions
38. Experience of delivering universal, targeted and specialised input in school settings
39. Experienced and able to demonstrate a commitment to integrated working and close partnership working with external partners

40. Experience with developing and delivering training programmes to support service delivery
