The Senior Material Planner is responsible for supporting the Material Planning team and leading the team on a continuous improvement journey. They will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to drive improvements and solve exceptions e.g., with Commercial, Supplier Quality Assurance, Suppliers, Warehouses, Schedulers, Logistics, Quality & Food Safety, Finance, and others.
Supporting process & system improvements as system super user or project manager in close collaboration with the Centre of Excellence and Supply Chain Development. Godfather's role in digitalization and internal benchmarking.
What are we looking for?
BSc or BA / or MSc in supply chain management, or any other business or engineering-related degree, desired.
Several years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
Logistics & Supply Chain experience with ERP is required. (e.g SAP, Kinaxis).
Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) would be an advantage.
Understanding of Lean / Six Sigma/root cause analysis, e.g. 5 why's.
Affinity to state-of-the-art digital solutions.
Ability to listen to others and link to others’ ideas.
Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
Fluent in English, additional European languages (such as French, Dutch, or Polish) would be advantageous.
What will be your key responsibilities?
First-level support and initiator of system-related changes or functional expert for team-specific tools/solutions, serving as a first point of contact for users experiencing system-related issues (SAP, Rapid Response/Kinaxis).
Leading role for digitalization and internal benchmarking.
Assist in defining, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team, and train new and existing users on system functionalities, workflow, and updates.
Provide input and support to the Center of Excellence in defining and delivering improvement enhancements to system functionality and reporting.
Supporting the team during RCA and problem-solving activities.
Input into a range of projects as a key stakeholder representing material planning.
Facilitating key team meetings including performance reviews, training, and upskilling.
Driving key initiatives in improving and harmonizing working methods, both within process definition and testing.
Supporting change in our supplier landscape, processes, and strategies to drive mid/long-term improvements in line with our business strategy.
Coordinates continuous improvement within the team as project manager.
Supporting new initiatives and qualification processes for suppliers.
Collaborates with the many stakeholders within planning to ensure material planning processes are fit for purpose to deliver business goals.
