Reporting to a senior commercial manager, this role will be responsible for contractual and commercial management for the associated projects. Due to the strict security requirements, candidates must be a UK National and will need to progress through security clearance.

4. You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
5. You will be prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.
6. You will prepare costing associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges, and present these to clients.
7. Familiar with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy.
8. Good understanding of the UK regulatory framework.
9. Developing contract administration manuals, processes and procedures.
10. Understand and align to the contract management standards, assuring that these comply with the selected T&Cs in their chosen Contract suite.
11. Assure that there is full compliance with the contract management standards and contractual terms and conditions in the execution of the contract administration activities.
12. Manage commercial relationships and ways of working with contractors and/or consultants to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of works and services.
13. Lead contractual negotiations and provide guidance to project manager and/or services manager, where necessary.
14. Manage change through the internal change management process and governance.
15. Review and acceptance of subcontractors and acceptance of subcontract documents in line with the contract.
16. Certification of payments including an assessment of defined costs for option C, E and F contracts.
17. Review forecasts prepared by the contractor (or consultants) and assess the pain share or gainshare due to the contractor in respect of Option C, or D contracts.
18. Undertake full cost analysis reviews
19. Undertake delay damages calculations if required.
20. Establish category/programme contract management strategies, and review and approve individual contract management strategies.
21. Manage KPI’s in incentive schedules within NEC Contracts and review contractor’s performance against these.
22. Manage defects process in accordance with NEC.
23. Review contractors and/or consultant’s compensation event applications, review of quotations for compensation events and subsequent assessments thereof and early warning notifications.
24. When required, review the application for payment to ensure alignment with the contractually agreed terms and conditions

41. Qualified to a degree level or equivalent experience and membership of appropriate professional body.
42. Practical working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts.
43. Extensive experience of contract management on major programmes.
44. Proven experience of managing process plant and equipment contracts.
45. Experience of working in a fast-moving project environment essential.
46. Previous experience of working in a highly regulated industry such as the nuclear sector.
You'll also have:
47. Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
48. Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
49. Developed commercial and financial acumen.
50. Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
51. Developing experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders.
52. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
