Business Support is a dynamic and integral service that plays a central role in facilitating the daily operations of the organisation and ensuring the delivery of services. A core objective of the Business Support service is to provide robust, resilient, and efficient administrative support through its seven specialised Business Support Teams. These teams are committed to meeting and exceeding client expectations by adopting common processes and embracing digital practices to align with the business needs of Achieving for Children (AfC) and the deliverables outlined in the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The service is designed to be modern, agile, and streamlined, and it operates within the operational framework of the organisation.
Please note this role is part-time fixed term and the salary will be pro rata.
About the role
The newly established Executive Support Hub is a pivotal addition to our service, dedicated to delivering effective and comprehensive executive administrative assistant and business support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Extended Leadership Team (ESLT).
The ‘hub’ will be made up of Executive Support Officers who will provide specialised direct support to one or more of the Directors and Executive Support Assistants who will provide a generic support to a group of Associate Directors. This
support is essential to ensure that our Senior Officers can perform their roles with maximum efficiency. The 'Executive Support Hub' is committed to maintaining consistently high levels of responsiveness to both external and internal customer needs.
Additionally, it plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive meeting support for a significant number of board meetings, all the while managing complex diary arrangements for multiple Senior Officers.
Flexibility is a key attribute required for this role, as it may entail adapting working hours to align with the dynamic demands of the service. This flexibility ensures that the 'Executive Support Hub' can continue to meet the evolving needs of Achieving for Children and the individuals it serves.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience working in a senior-level personal or executive assistant role.
- An advanced level of competence in managing complex diaries for multiple executives.
- Proficiency in providing administrative support at the highest level.
- Experience in administering and minuting high-level Board and HR meetings.
- A track record of writing, analysing, and researching information
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative by independently drafting responses to letters/queries and progressing work without the need for constant manager reference.
- An understanding of how to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals.
- A passion for Achieving for Children’s vision, mission and values (trust, empower. respect) to support children and young people to live safe, happy, healthy and successful lives.
- Able to use a range of digital hardware or software to support your work effectively i.e. micros or Google software.
