Job summary
Our Basildon Endoscopy service has a wonderful opportunity has arisen to join us as a Patient Pathway Officer.
You will be dealing directly with members of the public as well as hospital staff and will deal with highly sensitive and confidential patient information.
Your hours will be 7 days a week ranging from 8am-6pm and will work within a central team.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective appointment scheduling service, including booking patient appointments, reviewing patient referrals and cancelling appointments, keeping up to date recorded information on the status of patients.
Your role will be to manage and maintain elective waiting lists in conjunction with the Clerical Team leader and the unit Manager in accordance with Trust, manage Endoscopy lists by speciality, liaising with consultants, nurses and Ensure effective maintenance of patient documentation and note holding systems and entering patient details onto the waiting list on the Electronic patient record system (EPR) and Endoscopy reporting / booking system (Solus) ensuring that those details are up to date.
You will be required to admit and discharge patients on the EPR system requiring a working knowledge of endoscopic procedures in order to arrange follow up appointments and further.
