Registered Nurse - Fracture and Orthopaedic Unit RGH
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse in our FOU Outpatient clinic department within the Royal Gwent Hospital.
The role will involve:
1. Carrying out the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within the department.
2. Providing prescribed nursing care without direct supervision.
3. Contributing to the development/evaluation of nursing practice.
4. Acting in accordance with the NMC (UKCC) Professional Code of Conduct.
5. Successfully completing a locally approved orientation programme.
6. Supporting a clinical environment that is patient and public focused.
7. Assisting the Team Leader with managing a patient caseload.
8. Developing an environment which supports the value of nursing care within the T&O setting.
9. Liaising and communicating with members of the multidisciplinary team.
10. Committing to assuring the quality of care delivered.
11. Being aware of and demonstrating practice based on current advances in nursing.
12. Acting as an advocate for patients and their significant others.
13. Maintaining accurate records/standards for documentation including IT, data collection and input.
14. Participating in the formal monitoring of standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
