Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join our Patient and Family Support team at Royal Trinity to cover Maternity for one year. Working within a team of specialist palliative care social workers and counsellors you will provide a wide range of psychosocial interventions, guidance and support directly to our patients and their children. Using your extensive skills to offer direct emotional and practical support, legacy interventions, family group work and bereavement support both in the community and in our inpatient unit based in South West London to our patients and their families. You will have a good working knowledge and experience in Palliative Care and end of life and providing a range of therapeutic interventions. Main duties of the job Skills and Experience Required Relevant professional qualification, BA, MA, MSc, BSW/MSW in Social Work Registration with a professional body (Social Work England) Qualification and/or relevant experience in working therapeutically with families, children, and young people. Impeccable assessment and psychosocial intervention skills. Hospice, Palliative Care, or other Healthcare Setting experience. Enthusiasm and a flexible attitude to work. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team. Hospice, Palliative Care, or other Bereavement experience desirable.
