Roles and Responsibilities: Support the teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework. Assist with the social, emotional, and academic development of children through play-based learning. Provide one-to-one and small group support to enhance early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued. Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children. Observe and monitor children's progress, reporting key developments to the teacher. Assist with classroom preparation, including organising resources and setting up learning areas. Support children with personal care needs when required. Requirements: Previous experience working in an EYFS setting within a school or nursery. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent). Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, staff, and parents. Ability to adapt to different learning needs, including SEN support. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with young children. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
