Our infrastructure team has an opportunity for a Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Wintel) FTC for 12 months in Preston. About the Opportunity As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer your primary responsibilities will be to administer and maintain the infrastructure systems in our data centres and in the cloud. This role requires a broad experience of data centre technologies and specific experience of Windows and VMWare services to monitor critical systems, resolve incidents and problems. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and implementing new infrastructure solutions to support our significant capital programme. Day to day administration including systems checks, security checks, and service tickets. System management, patching, change and build on the following technologies: Citrix. Hardware. VMWare. Windows Server. M365. Core data centre services such as AD, Group Policy, DNS, VPN, AV, MFA, WSUS, SCCM, monitoring tools etc. SAN storage and backup. Multi Factor Authentication. MS Azure Who we are looking for? The ideal candidate will be a M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert Certified or demonstrable experience. Specifically, able to configure and troubleshoot: Azure AD Identity and role-based access control Exchange Online Teams E-Discovery Sharepoint Online OneDrive AD Connect Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 MCSE or equivalent experience. VMWare Certified Professional Data Centre Virtualisation, or equivalent experience. Azure administrator certified, or equivalent experience. Understanding of IaaS and JSON templating. Experience managing Citrix farms and published content. Experience or fundamental understanding in: Hardware support Patching using WSUS. Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy administration. Anti-Virus console and client (any vendor) Proven experience working in infrastructure/data centre operations. Detail oriented, with a concern for quality, documentation, and security. Customer focused. Flexible in the face of changing business priorities. Driving license. Azure administration Unix/Linux administration skills.
