Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate clinical pharmacist with a keen interest in surgery and anaesthetics to join our expanding integrated pharmacy team. You will become part of a unique team in a highly patient focussed role. The successful candidate will be a specialist clinical pharmacist, with or able to work towards an independent prescribing qualification. You will be able to work as part of a ward-based team and across the wider Central IHC, providing leadership and clinical expertise to other pharmacists and technicians within the IHC. The post will be based in the central area of North Wales using Glan Clwyd hospital as the base. Main duties of the job We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced pharmacist to join our surgical pharmacy team who will relish the challenge of improving medication safety for patients within surgery and anaesthetics. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to integrate within the multidisciplinary teams, support with guideline, protocol and service development across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. You will be encouraged to undertake quality improvement initiatives, review clinical practice and processes, develop staff and patient education and work with the relevant teams to review incidents. You will be self-motivated with excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills. The ability to liaise with and influence senior clinical staff and colleagues with various clinical background across all sectors of the Central IHC - including and not limited to primary, community and secondary care is essential.
