What the school offers its staff
About us
Now is the most exciting time to become a part of Lealholm Primary School. You will join a creative and enthusiastic team as we strive to provide the very best education for our pupils.
Our learning environment and education provision is second to none. Our River curriculum is getting our children outside into our incredible grounds, while our collaborative approach to planning with the other YEAT schools ensures that children are getting the very best in teaching and learning.
We make the most of the opportunities in our local community, visiting the nearby church and farms, as well as hosting community events at our school.
We are proud to be part of the Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust (YEAT) alongside Castleton, Glaisdale, Oakridge, Airy Hill and West Cliff in Whitby.
YEAT is also one of 32 organisations nationally to be a designated ‘English Hub’ which delivers excellence in early language and phonics teaching in reception and KS1. At Lealholm, the impact of this support is clear in our early reading provision. We also have the advantage of being a Little Wandle Champion School.
Lealholm and the wider YEAT Trust is highly supportive, plus our teachers benefit from our highly skilled Teaching Assistants who play a vital role in school life.
We can offer you:
• A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other
• Happy and enthusiastic children
• A school with exciting and attractive learning environments, including extensive outdoor spaces
• A leadership team who welcome fresh ideas and a sense of teamwork
