Library Director, Plymouth Public Library (Plymouth)
The Town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of LIBRARY DIRECTOR (EM5) for the Plymouth Public Library.
Plans and supervises the operation of public Libraries in the Town: develops Library policies, programs, and procedures. Responsible for the delivery of public services to the citizens utilizing the Library. Prepares and manages the budget presented to the Director of Community Resources and manages the Library Corporation's approved expenditures. Oversees and monitors staffing levels; handles all personnel management, provides appropriate staff training to remain up to date in technology usage and changes to the Library profession. Responsible for long-range planning for Library services meeting all federal, state, and local guidelines. Responsible for acquiring, developing, and implementing grants. Remains active in state and professional Library organizations.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school with at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Library management. Special Requirements: certification from MA Board of Library Commissioners, participation in MA State Library Board and membership in MA Library Association, experience in preservation of historic documents highly desirable.

Annual Salary Range: $88,027.16 - $109,830.76, 37.5 hours/week. This posting will remain open through January 27, 2025.
