We are looking for a Lead Enterprise Solution Architect who can lead across the key strategic Transformation programme. The role involves:
* Leading the architecture strategy and vision for the program, ensuring alignment with the overall technology strategy and architecture.
* Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Designing and implementing architecture solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
* Providing technical leadership and guidance to solution architects and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
* Promoting innovation and best practices in architecture and technology.
* Ensuring that the solutions are delivered as designed and meet the business requirements.
* Engaging with engineering teams through the lifecycle and providing technical guidance and support.
* Creating a narrative and story that takes all in the enterprise through the purpose and reason to believe in the strategy.
What skills are required?
Technical
* Strong expertise in enterprise solution architecture, with a focus on applications and integration.
* Deep understanding of technology from a capability perspective, with the ability to rationalize and simplify.
* Experience with modern technologies and frameworks, including cloud computing, cloud-native architectures, AWS, microservices, application modernisation / refactoring and APIs.
* Ability to engage with engineering teams through the lifecycle and provide technical guidance and support.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and work at a detailed level.
* Track record of delivering on innovation, with an owner's/start-up mindset to growth and growing customers.
* Deep knowledge of Insurance domain with understanding of core insurance process, including underwriting, claims management, policy administration, billing and regulatory compliance.
People
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work comfortably at all levels from junior engineer to senior management.
* Strong consulting and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
* Ability to create a narrative and story that takes all in the enterprise through the purpose and reason to believe in the strategy.
Business
* Fluent in financials and commercial topics, with the ability to create and articulate linkages between business and technology.
* Strong understanding of the interactions between people, processes, and technology.
* Ability to apply strategic and innovative thinking to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the insurance industry or a strong interest in the insurance business and its future direction.
* Track record of delivering on innovation, with an owner's/start-up mindset to growth and growing customers.
* Demonstrable accountable ownership of architecture across a significant/complex program of work
