Lead Maintenance Engineer
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (weekend work when required on an on-call basis) 08:30 to 17:00 40 hours per week with 1 hour for lunch daily.

We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to help provide reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at our Wisbech site.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Managing the performance of maintenance work, both preventative and corrective.
2. Carrying out and registering mandatory inspections.
3. Assess the in- and outsourced technical activities of Lineage in the designated site and develop existing and new talent.
4. To provide advice and guidance (in consultation with HR) to the Site Manager on all recruitment, termination of employment, promotion, and salary/payroll issues of technical staff.
5. Conducting appraisal and performance interviews.
6. Responsible for the spare parts in accordance with the established procedure and ordering spare parts after approval.
7. Responsible for an optimal stock of spare parts.
8. If necessary, engage a supplier for the efficient handling of malfunctions/repairs.
9. Work closely with the Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of the actions/activities to be taken.
10. Administering company policies and manage local SOPs.
11. Ensure accidents are investigated according to the company’s accident investigation procedures.
12. Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation.
13. Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties within Maintenance Team to ensure Health and safety are adhered to and conduct weekly meetings with the Site Management and engineering team.
14. Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
15. Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving.
16. You will do this in a cold environment – approximately minus 20 degrees – just like working in the freezer; but we provide full PPE including coats, hats, and boots.
17. At times work on ladders and safety harness at height.
Who we're looking for:
18. Multi skilled Electronically and mechanical qualified, NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship trained, with mechanical experience.
19. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of successful distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership.
20. The successful candidate will have a business background to include competency in maintaining/engineering the various functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, warehouse automation, IT systems, and supply chain optimization.
21. Experience of working with automation

24. Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
25. You are able to drive.
