Are you looking to kick-start your career in e-commerce? We are seeking an Entry-Level E-Commerce Merchandiser to join our fast-paced and creative team. In this role, you will learn how to optimize our online store’s performance, help manage inventory, and support sales growth through effective online merchandising and SEO management. You will work closely with the strategy lead and our Marketing Assistant, gaining hands-on experience with WooCommerce, inventory management tools (such as ATUM), SEO, and a range of digital marketing practices.
Working with the strategy lead and the marketing assistant, you will ensure a seamless customer experience by managing product listings, maintaining accurate stock levels, product uploads, categories, and arrival times. You will be working with the marketing web manager to ensure content and visuals are consistent and on brand.
E-Commerce Merchandising
1. Product Setup: Assist in creating and updating product listings on WooCommerce, including product descriptions, images, pricing, and categories.
2. Website Maintenance: Work with the marketing team to help ensure the online store is visually appealing and user-friendly, learning the basics of SEO, UX principles, and conversion optimization.
3. Data Analysis: Support the team in monitoring site performance using tools like Google Analytics, gaining skills in data interpretation and reporting.
4. Promotional Support: Collaborate on product launches, promotions, and campaigns to help deliver an engaging customer experience.
Stock Management
1. Inventory Assistance: Learn how to use ATUM stock control systems to track inventory levels and ensure product availability.
2. Reporting & Forecasting: Assist in creating inventory reports and contribute to stock forecasting discussions.
3. Collaboration with Warehouse Team: Communicate with the warehouse to facilitate smooth operations and accurate stock updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
1. Brand Consistency: Help align online merchandising efforts with overall brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
2. Team Support: Work alongside the Head of Brand and the Marketing Assistant on various e-commerce projects, contributing ideas and creative solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Education/Interest: A background in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience/interest in e-commerce).
2. Qualifications: Chartered Institute Of Marketing Dip M or IDM.
3. Tech Enthusiasm: Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) WooCommerce or similar e-commerce platforms.
4. Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
5. Analytical Mindset: Basic understanding of Excel and Google Analytics.
6. Collaborative Nature: Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment.
7. Good to have: Experience of SEO.
