The Great Western Hospital is currently looking to expand their Radiology department to support the recovery and current demand within diagnostics. The Radiology department has recently undergone a £5.5 million equipment replacement programme including replacement of plain film rooms, CT, Interventional and Mobile equipment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for established Radiographers with NHS experience looking to increase their knowledge and work with state-of-the-art equipment.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology Department undertakes approximately 251,300 examinations a year across a variety of modalities. The successful applicant will be a keen team player who prioritizes image quality and patient care, with a flexible approach to working hours. The department supports the development of your clinical skills and education; we encourage staff CPD.
The Great Western Hospital conducts diagnostic radiological examinations across a range of clinical specialities, adapting techniques to accommodate a range of patient types both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental, and legal requirements.

Job responsibilities
To independently assess and justify referrals under IR(ME)R 2000 following practitioner guidelines where appropriate. Able to interpret Clinicians' requirements, to determine the appropriate radiographic imaging technique and ensure that it is performed in accordance with best practice and that the resultant images are diagnostic.

Essential
* BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent
* HCPC registration
* Cannulation & contrast administration
Desirable
* Evidence of CPD
* Post graduate qualification
* Relevant study day attendance
Experience
Essential
* Previous CT experience
* 3 years post-graduation experience
* Previous experience at NHS Band 6 level
Desirable
* Cardiac CT experience
