You will be employed to work as a core member of the project team, until opening in the autumn. You will be instrumental in the development, implementation and delivery of the clinical and operational model, especially in relation to psychological therapies. You will take a leadership role within the wider psychology services for people with learning disabilities in the trust, joining a team of enthusiastic and dedicated community based Psychologists. Main duties of the job As the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist integrated clinical leadership and management in relation to psychological therapies across the unit, community outreach team, wider AWP and wider system. You will lead the strategic development and groundwork e.g. structures/processes for psychological therapies staff members, ensuring co-production is at the heart of this. You will have the opportunity to lead the recruitment of Therapies staff and the integration of psychological therapies as an integral part of the work of the team. Core to the role will be facilitating the development of a trauma informed environment from which staff can provide trauma informed care, underpinned by a culture of learning, continuous evaluation and compassionate, inclusive and collective leadership. The post holder will oversee the development of an innovative evidence based service, encompassing both psychological therapies and psychologically informed interventions. Once the unit is open, the post holder will hold a caseload of highly complex cases. You will lead a programme of service evaluation, hosting trainee/student placements and promote the units involvement in research that facilitates the development of the evidence base.
