I am looking for a seasoned Operations Manager seeking the next step up into a board-level role within a pioneering UK animal feed manufacturer with a European reach. This influential business has been leading from the front for decades in sustainable production.
This is an exciting time to join the business; they have recently made substantial investments into modernizing their flagship mill. As a director, you will be a major figurehead in the business, a visionary and influential character traveling throughout the UK and France, overseeing all operations and ensuring the sites operate to the highest standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Motivating, mentoring, and coaching cross-functional teams.
2. Overseeing daily operations to ensure consistency and quality of products.
3. Collaborating with the Sales Director to ensure sales forecasts are achieved through effective planning.
4. Budget management, responsible for overall site costs and controlling stock variances within sites.
5. Managing all Capital, Innovation, and Change projects within the company’s sites, including the 5-year capital investment plan.
6. Developing, leading, and championing sustainability plans.
7. Ensuring all audits are completed to a high standard.
8. Leading the compliance professionals who support our site leaders in maintaining and building upon both Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
Essential Criteria for the Successful Candidate:
1. A proven track record in leading large teams, influencing change, and improving results.
2. A strong understanding of HSE and working to hygiene, FEMAS, and ISO protocols.
3. A passion for taking manufacturing facilities to the next level.
4. Collaborative and strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to stimulate employees, teams, and departments while fostering esteem, loyalty, and confidence among employees.
5. Superior networking and negotiation skills.
