Job Description:
We have a vacancy for an experienced Implementation Manager to join the security transformation programme based at Heathrow.
Our delivery team offers comprehensive technical support, project management, and engineering services to Heathrow. The team also provides guidance on the latest emerging technologies. Our responsibilities encompass the design and installation of passive IT infrastructure, which includes networks, associated assets and connected devices such as common use terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV; experience of delivering large scale IT projects in these disciplines is essential.
The role is full time and will be predominantly based on-site at Heathrow (approximately 4 days per week on-site, subject to project requirements). The role is expected to last a minimum of 12 months.
We are seeking a candidate able to demonstrate a high level of project leadership capability, who can ensure design delivery to time and budget on complex design projects. You will also be responsible for the bidding and delivery of the projects to time, cost, and quality throughout their project lifecycle, from tender to closeout. You will be comfortable working with a diverse range of suppliers and styles and be able to solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities:
1. Work within agreed and published project processes and standards to support the Project Delivery Practice at Heathrow or other Airports.
2. Assist with identifying future demands for each project to ensure that resources/services are obtained to meet the demand.
3. Produce regular reports and maintain folders for all projects as requested.
4. Ensure the handover of projects to relevant departments is carried out smoothly and that all "as fitted" documentation is accurately produced.
5. Meet with clients upon assignment of a project to discuss requirements and agree on a scope and project timeline if required.
6. Work with all relevant groups within HAL to achieve full 'buy-in' for a successful conclusion.
7. Instigate all necessary update meetings with Framework Partners and resolve any changes to the agreed cost plan and project timeline.
8. Provide all necessary documentation upon completion of the works to achieve ongoing support of the new install.
Experience and Skills:
1. Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
2. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team.
3. Substantial skills and experience in Telecoms or Networking support function.
4. Broad knowledge of specialised telecoms services in an enterprise and service provider environment; airport services experience advantageous.
5. Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers would be advantageous.
6. Strong technical/ICS background.
7. Experience in real environment deployments would be advantageous.
8. Experience in LAN technology would be essential.
9. Experience in wireless technology would be advantageous.
10. Experience in CCTV and Access Control systems would be advantageous.
11. An experienced professional with at least 2 years operational experience in an IT, Network or Engineering department.
12. Formally educated to C&G, HNC or A-level standard.
13. Formal project management, network technology or IT systems training is desirable but not essential.
14. Use of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word is essential. Training on Heathrow specific applications will be given.
