Global listed business close to Bristol has an opening for a versatile and ambitious Group Reporting Manager. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance across the international Group and ensuring that the department drives word class financial management and control process within an appropriate organisation design. As a subject matter expert in technical accounting and reporting, you will have demonstrable IFRS and UK GAAP experience, ideally gained within a PLC environment.
Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a multi-disciplinary group finance team which includes all financial reporting, management accounting, tax, treasury and external audit functions. Specific responsibilities include:
* Ensuring that half year and full year financial accounts providing complete confidence to investors that the reported financial position is fully accurate
* Leading the group in balance sheet and cash flow management through the provision of appropriate reporting and behavioural standards
* Identifying opportunities for profit and balance sheet enhancement
* Re-engineering key reporting practices ensuring they are fit for future purpose
* Leading the external audit process
* Driving significant improvements in the financial controls across the business
* Managing all external stakeholder relationships with internal and external auditors, investors and bank
About You
As a highly experienced and charismatic ACA qualified (likely 2-4yrs PQE) with experience of working for a PLC, you will be a strong technical accountant, with a proven ability to oversee the production of accurate monthly, half year and full year management and financial accounts. You will have well-developed communication skills with a track record of successful team leadership and change management at a senior level across an international setting.
